Your trust matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Tharsos Press collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. We have kept it as clear and straightforward as we can. If anything is unclear, contact us at [email protected].

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Tharsos Press is operated by Courageous Patriot Media, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with an office in Pennsylvania, doing business as Tharsos Press ("Tharsos Press," "we," "us," or "our"). Our mailing address is 55 New St., Box 7 Suite I-3 Ephrata, PA 17522.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through tharsospress.com, our forms, author portal, online course, calls, and email and text communications (together, the "Site" and "Services"). It does not apply to third-party websites or services we do not control. Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

• Business and professional information, such as your business or organization name, role, industry, audience, website, and social media profiles.

• Book and project information, such as your book idea, goals, outline, manuscript, drafts, author bio, photos, and other materials you share (see Section 4).

• Lead form responses, such as your answers to forms like "Is a book right for my business?"

• Scheduling and call information, such as the details you provide when booking a discovery or fit call, and information shared during calls.

• Account information, such as login credentials for the author portal or online course.

• Transaction information, such as the package, course, or service you purchased, billing name and address, and payment history. Card payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.

• Communications, such as emails, text messages, and other messages you send us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• device and browser information, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers;

• usage information, such as pages viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, and the date and time of your visit;

• approximate location derived from your IP address; and

• information about whether you open our emails or click links in them.

We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, described in Section 6.

Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from our service providers, from people who refer you to us, from our marketing partner, and from publicly available sources such as your business website or public social media profiles.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• respond to your inquiries and evaluate whether our services are a good fit for you;

• schedule and hold discovery and fit calls;

• provide, manage, and deliver our packages, courses, and services, including editing, design, production, publishing, and marketing support;

• set up and maintain your account and author portal access;

• process payments, send invoices, and keep business records;

• communicate with you about your project, account, and our services, including by email and, with your consent, by text message;

• send newsletters, updates, and marketing messages you can opt out of at any time;

• understand how visitors use the Site and improve our content and services;

• measure the effectiveness of our marketing;

• protect the security of the Site and prevent fraud or misuse; and

• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Manuscripts and Author Materials

We know how personal your book is. Manuscripts, drafts, outlines, and other author materials you submit are treated as confidential. We use them only to evaluate your project and to deliver the services you engage us for. We share them only with team members and contractors who need them to do that work and who are expected to keep them confidential, and with publishing and distribution partners as needed to publish your book under your Publishing Services Agreement.

We do not sell your manuscript or author materials, and we do not use them to train artificial intelligence models.

Your materials may reveal personal details, such as your faith, values, or views, because of the nature of your book. We use that information only to help you publish your work, never to profile you.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only as described below.

Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run our business. They may process your information on our behalf, only as needed to provide their services to us. These include:

• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), which powers our website, forms, customer relationship management (CRM), invoicing and payments, author portal, and email and text communications;

• our payment processor, which processes card and other payments through our invoicing platform;

• ClickUp, which we use to manage book production projects;

• Google Workspace (Gmail), which we use for email and business documents;

• GoHighlevel and our calendar booking tool, which we use to schedule and hold calls;

• Google Fonts, which displays fonts on the Site and may receive your IP address when your browser loads them; and

• analytics and advertising providers ( e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and possibly others), which help us understand Site usage and measure marketing.

Publishing and distribution partners. If you become a client, we share information such as your author name, book title, book metadata, and related details with retailers, distributors, ISBN agencies, and similar partners as needed to publish and distribute your book. Royalty payments flow directly between you and those retailers and distributors under their own terms.

Marketing partner. For authors in certain packages, we work with a marketing partner that may promote your book to its audience. As part of your engagement, we may share information such as your name, bio, book details, and promotional materials with that partner for that purpose, as described in your Publishing Services Agreement.

Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tharsos Press, our clients, or others.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your permission, such as publishing your testimonial.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels and similar technologies are small pieces of code that help us understand how people use the Site and interact with our emails. We and our service providers use these tools to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, understand traffic and usage, and, where applicable, measure and improve our marketing.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site, such as forms or the author portal, may not work properly. https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en-US, https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en-US.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.

Global Privacy Control. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser.

7. Email Communications

If you give us your email address, we may send you messages about your inquiry, project, or account, as well as newsletters and marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You can also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected]. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you transactional messages about your account, purchases, or active project.

8. Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

If you opt in to receive text messages from Tharsos Press, for example by checking a box on a form, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages at the phone number you provided. These may include appointment reminders, project updates, and, if you choose, marketing messages.

• Consent is not required to buy. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

• Message frequency varies. The number of messages depends on your interactions with us.

• Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.

• To stop, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message, and then no further texts unless you opt in again.

• For help, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected] or (223) 777-0234.

• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Information may be shared with service providers that help us deliver text messages, such as GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) and its messaging partners.

9. Your Choices

• Marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

• Text messages: Reply STOP to any text.

• Cookies: Adjust your browser settings or use the cookie tools we provide.

• Account information: Update your details in the author portal or by contacting us.

• Access, correction, and deletion: Contact us at [email protected] as described in Section 10.

10. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Several U.S. states, including California and a growing number of others, give residents specific rights over their personal information. Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies to us, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of information, sources, purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to;

• Correct inaccurate personal information;

• Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;

• Portability, meaning to receive a copy of your personal information in a usable format;

• Opt out of the sale of personal information, the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and certain profiling;

• Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable; and

• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Our practices. We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you or for purposes that would require offering a right to limit under California law.

Categories of information. In the past 12 months, we may have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2, which correspond to these categories under California law: identifiers; customer records and commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity; approximate geolocation; audio or visual information (such as call recordings, if any); professional information; and inferences drawn from the above. We collect this information from the sources described in Section 2, use it for the purposes in Section 3, and disclose it for business purposes to the categories of recipients in Section 5.

How to make a request. To exercise your rights, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request," or write to us at 55 New St., Box 7 Suite I-3 Ephrata, PA 17522. We will need to verify your identity before responding, usually by matching information you provide with information we already have. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of the agent's authority and verify your identity directly. We aim to respond within 45 days, and we will let you know if we need more time as allowed by law.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within the time required by your state's law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.

11. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. That includes providing our services, maintaining business, tax, and accounting records, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. How long we keep information depends on its type and purpose. For example, we generally keep client and project records for the life of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward, and we keep lead and inquiry information until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer useful. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as access controls, secure third-party platforms, and encrypted payment processing by our payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password for your account and let us know right away at [email protected] if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

13. Children's Privacy

The Site and our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

14. Visitors From Outside the United States

Tharsos Press is based in the United States, and the Site is intended for U.S. audiences. If you access the Site from outside the United States, including from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing of your information, we rely on these legal bases: performing a contract with you or taking steps at your request before entering one; our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business; your consent, which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your information, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

15. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to other websites and services, such as book retailers, social media platforms, and partner sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on the Site or an email. Please review this policy periodically.
